GENESIS
GENESIS is a compact benchtop SIP fermenter/bioreactor, available from 7.5 up to 20 L total volume.
A bioreactor is a controlled vessel in which cells or microorganisms are grown under regulated temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and agitation. IT Tech's benchtop bioreactor and laboratory bioreactor systems support your process development, cell culture and fermentation scale-up, from 200-millilitre screening vessels to 20-litre benchtop runs1. Every system is supplied and supported in Singapore by IT Tech, giving you a local team from enquiry through to routine maintenance.
A laboratory bioreactor gives you repeatable control over the conditions your cells and microbes grow in, so results stay comparable from one run to the next. Biotech firms, biopharma teams and university labs put benchtop systems to work in four broad areas.
Growing mammalian, insect or stem-cell cultures beyond flasks, with tighter pH and dissolved-oxygen control as volumes rise.
Optimising media, feeds and growth conditions for bacteria and yeast before a process moves to pilot scale.
Producing small batches of proteins, enzymes or early-stage candidates, where a benchtop bioreactor keeps footprint and media costs down.
Supporting teaching and research in cell metabolism, synthetic biology and bioprocess engineering, where small-volume runs stretch grant budgets.
A benchtop system is also a practical first step before larger capital spend. You can prove a process at litre scale, lock in your setpoints and hand a documented method to the pilot plant.

A bioreactor is used to grow cells or microorganisms under controlled conditions so they produce consistent biomass, proteins or metabolites. Labs rely on them for cell culture, microbial fermentation, process development and scale-up, moving work from small screening volumes towards pilot runs.
The main bioreactor types are stirred-tank, airlift, packed-bed and single-use systems. Stirred-tank designs mix with an impeller, and airlift designs circulate the culture with rising gas. Packed-bed designs hold cells on a fixed support, while single-use designs swap glass or steel vessels for disposable bags.
Benchtop bioreactor pricing depends on vessel volume, sterilisation method, level of automation and the sensors you add. A larger sterilise-in-place system with full automation costs more than a small autoclavable unit with basic control. Request a quote with your working volume and application for an accurate price.
GENESIS, IO and JUPITER differ mainly in vessel size and design, as set out below.
| Model | Design | Total Volume | Suited To |
|---|---|---|---|
| GENESIS | Compact benchtop SIP fermenter/bioreactor | 7.5 L to 20 L | Microbial and cell culture, process optimisation and small-scale production |
| IO | Fully electrical mini fermenter/bioreactor with water-free thermoregulation | 200 ml or 1,000 ml | Process development and media optimisation |
| JUPITER | Platform with multiple autoclavable vessel sizes and designs | Confirmed on enquiry | Bench-scale work where vessel size changes between experiments |
IT Tech supplies and supports its bioreactors in Singapore, and its preventive maintenance service helps keep systems running to specification. Installation and commissioning support can be arranged, with the exact scope agreed at quotation. Raise both when you enquire so support is planned before delivery.
